Implementation of technological training tool for trainees

The ADNOC Technical Academy has adopted new technologies in its teaching process. Virtual Reality (VR) technology now is used at the Academy to help the trainees enhance their skills and meet global standards. VR technology aims to promote a culture of innovation, sustainability, and adaptability to the changing needs of the energy industry. One of the main uses of VR technology is to train the trainees on the HSE Life Saving Rules in a dynamic and immersive way. The trainees can encounter the potential hazards and risks in a virtual setting, which helps them to learn how to avoid and handle such situations on the actual sites. The trainees have expressed their gratitude and enjoyment for the VR training method. They feel more involved and eager to learn the Life Saving Rules, which are essential for ensuring their safety and the safety of others. The VR training also enables them to see the outcomes of not following the rules and the best practices to prevent them.

Humaid Hamad Ahmad, an instrumentation trainee in Semester 1, found the new training method fascinating, stating, "I believe the VR room offers a highly effective and enjoyable learning experience. It provides a visual demonstration of the consequences of not following procedures and teaches effective responses to emergencies."

VR technology is an effective tool that allows the trainees to build and improve their skills in a realistic and safe environment. By exposing them to various scenarios, VR technology equips them for the challenges and opportunities of the energy industry.
