Earth hour

As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability, ADNOC Technical Academy participated in Earth Hour, a global movement that aims to raise awareness about climate change and promote sustainability. Earth Hour reflects the importance of the collective power of individuals to make a positive impact on the environment.

In alignment with the global movement, the Academy turned off all the lights in the buildings from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. Stickers were placed beside every switch inside the Academy’s premises with the message “Turn off the lights, protect the Earth”.

To raise awareness among the trainees and inspire them to make a real transformational impact on the environment, they were encouraged to join the Emirates Nature Leaders of Change Program. The program aims to support the youth as environment Ambassadors to take active steps and spread awareness about the global climate on social media.

Instructors also presented the Earth hour awareness video in the classroom where they shared with their trainees’ sustainable actions to protect the environment.
