Elevating OJT Experience

The ADNOC Technical Academy (ATA) has taken a monumental step in transforming the On-the-Job Training (OJT) experience by partnering with the ADNOC Group of Companies. This collaboration focuses on mentorship, teamwork, and exposure to industry advancements, creating a nurturing environment that fosters a sense of community and purpose among trainees.

A recent highlight in this initiative was the Engagement Session with ADNOC Refining’s CEO for ATA OJT Intake 8.2. During this session, trainees had the invaluable opportunity to engage with Mr. Sultan Albigishi, the CEO of ADNOC Refining, alongside prominent Line Managers and Team Leaders. This event provided a platform for trainees to gain insights into the company’s expectations and strategic focus areas, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation. Mr. Albigishi emphasized the crucial role of youth in advancing these initiatives, urging trainees to adopt innovative and creative approaches in their contributions to the company’s objectives. This engagement session not only bridged the gap between ADNOC Refining and emerging talent but also empowered trainees to take ownership of their educational journey and future careers. The progressive mindset instilled during the session aligns with industry trends, preparing trainees to be leaders in their respective fields.

Another significant initiative involved exploring Life Cycle Cost Principles at ADNOC Gas. ATA OJT trainees participated in an in-depth session on the “Life Cycle Cost (LCC) Approach” at ADNOC Gas – Habshan 5. This program is meticulously crafted to provide trainees with advanced knowledge and skills crucial for evaluating the life cycle costs of equipment. The hands-on experience gained during this session is essential, as it enables trainees to apply theoretical concepts in a practical environment, effectively bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world applications. Working within an operational plant setting, trainees acquired valuable insights into the specifics of efficient resource management and the implications of their decisions on overall project success. The session on the Life Cycle Cost Approach at ADNOC Gas marks a vital milestone in the professional journey of ATA OJT trainees. This understanding empowers them to make informed decisions that align with ADNOC’s objectives of operational excellence and sustainability.
